You are aware that there arepeople under 65 that participate, right?Dave;
I think that you are being overly optimistic. I figure that ourantiquity makes us no better than fifth priority for getting the vaccine,
Find attached the government" s="" plan="" for="" distribution="" of="" thevaccine.="" see="" page="" 10,="" the="" breakout="" who="" they="" are="" thinking="" arethose="" critically="" in="" need.="" it="" is:
'Healthcare personnel likely to be exposed to or treat people withCOVID-19.
People at HYPERLINK 'https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-at-increased-risk.html ' increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, including thosewith underlying medical conditions and people 65 years of age andolder
Other essential workers'
I particularly like: 'and people 65 years of age andolder'
The President has been saying 'very shortly' and'weeks' for quite some time, and Pfizer has said they are goingto go for emergency approval at the end of November (less than 2weeks.) After that, it will be the FDA approving, with Trump's footup their ass if they think they are going to dawdle while 1000 people aday are buying the farm from this damned virus.
If I can get it into my arm in the 2nd week of December, the 2nd shotshould be approx 1 Jan, and I should be doing table poker at the localbar again by mid-JanuaryAnyway, that's 40 million doses.
Doctors will get it first, probably. There's about 900,000doctors.
Nurses also, there's about 3.8 milion of them
Cops - there's 900,000 of them.
1st responders like ambulance / fire - I don't know, assume about thesize of the police, so another 900,000 as a scientific wild-ass guess(SWAG.)
Then there's 49 million 'over 65's.' Not as dire asmight be thought, 'cuz a significant number of them will refuse thevaccine just because they're cantankerous Americans. I won'tbe one of those, I will be 1st in line.See the 60 minutes segment here: https://www.cbs.com/shows/60_minutes/video/g5eZaC1o4AnUoONvOipkgVpCEM8FukNF/operation-warp-speed-planning-the-distribution-of-a-future-covid-19-vaccine/Moderna's vaccine is ordinary freezer temperatures.
I'm hoping to be immune before that happens! <G>
Typical immunity is 2 weeks after a vaccination. We get it inApril, as Apri 1, 2nd shot in week 3, immunity in 1st week of May. But as being ancients, we're probably going to get it in 2 - 3weeks.
I don't think I'm going to have to.
